20080617 June Skiing
Its the middle of June. I was sleeping on the beach two days ago. What better time to go for a ski?
I had some gear to test for work, and Andy had nowhere better to be, so we went for a quick ski on Seymour this morning.
Unfortunately the beautiful sunrise I had hoped for was hiding somewhere behind the cloud. Oh well.
Amazingly, you can still ski right out of the parking lot, which is unheard of this time of year.

I’ll be waiting a while for the chair to start up again:
The snow was soft enough that even the rutted cat-track made reasonable skiing: (Andy’s photo)
After a quick breakfast in the Lazy Bay I was in the office for 9:30, in shorts!
It cheered up enough in the afternoon to allow us to mountain bike on the same mountain after work. Only in Vancouver!
