20110227 Steep and Deep in Hollyburn trees

This last weekend for a change we chose to do the right activities on the right days! On Saturday I managed to get out on the shore for a ride in perfect grippy, hard-frozen conditions, just before the snow started to fall, and on Sunday we too advantage of all the snow in the city to ski great fresh snow over on the north shore.

I’ve never seen so many people on one skin track, but other than the crowds the skiing in Hollyburn trees was fantastic!

Hollyburn peak, affording panoramic views over Vancouver, the Lower Mainland and the North Shore Mountains. Next scheduled viewing, May.
